Goodwood Estate Events
The Goodwood Estate is the most local country estate of several that are nearby.
It is owned by the Duke and Duchess of Richmond and Gordon, but is run by their son and heir – Lord Charles, Earl of March. There are many spectacular events staged there each year and other smaller exhibitions and shows too.
Main Goodwood Events: Festival of Speed, Glorious Goodwood, Revival Meeting
The Estate is particularly blessed with an amazing selection of resources – airfield, motor circuit, racecourse, Country House, large estate producing organic meat and food products and timber, stunning golf courses (Goodwood Golf Club (the private Downs Course and The Park Course), Goodwood Park Hotel, exclusive restaurant The Kennels - amongst other things! It is quite a business!

The best known events are:
- Festival of Speed at Goodwood House - I offer continental B&B with full use of the hot tub and sauna at £160 per night for a double / twin room. Minimum 3 nights.
- Glorious Goodwood Race Meeting at the Racecourse -
- Revival Meeting at Goodwood Motor Circuit - house booked for 2012 except for ONE double room (could be made into a triple – cost £160 per night, min 3 nights), sorry!
Also there are almost weekly breakfast meetings at the Motor Circuit for enthusiasts (usually a specific type of car will be present on any given weekend)
How much horsepower can there be in the pits? and how many £millions?!!
The Goodwood Farm Shop sells many home-grown organic products from lamb, pork and beef from the Estate to vegetables etc 
The 12,000 acre estate also has extensive forestry – both native and pine woods to walk in, especially to the North around Chilgrove etc.

Understandably, when a large event is taking place there is maximum pressure on accommodation in the Chichester area and for distances up to 50 miles around – so if you wish to book Living Elements please do so with plenty of time to avoid disappointment.

If this is the case, a self catering Continental Bed and Breakfast is available so you can eat when you want to as I have found that some want to be trackside early, and others much later!
